If you cannot find bitlocker manager from searching box and you know it is on your computer, please run search and indexing trouble shooter then check the issue again.
I recently turned on bitlocker for my HDD within my laptop, at the same time I turned it on for my scandisk usb drive. I reformatted the drive and enabled bitlocker on it, before putting the required folders on it.
Does anyone know whether it is possible to use a central recovery key database (and associated reporting etc.) that includes machines from two seperate domains in two different forests?
I removed the AD group policy that forces Windows to store the Bitlocker recovery key in AD on the computer object. This allowed me to enable Bitlocker on the device. Configuring the setting to 'Follow Boot Order' will cause the same boot sequence BitLocker used when it was turned on. This will cause BitLocker to boot normally.

I have a small business and we use Surface Pro's for all our staff. We have an Office 365 subscription and set up each device using the new employee's business Office 365 log on and I believe this joins the device to the Azure Active Directory. I don't know much about this.
At my client we have MBAM configured and are storing BitLocker recovery keys in MBAM's SQL database. Security would also like us to store a copy of the key in Active Directory just-in-case SQL crashes and there would be the need to gather a key.
9 thg 8, 2016 · We should make sure what we need to type in (Bitlocker Password or Bitlocker recovery key). you could only type numbers was because the recovery key was requested and only in consist of numbers.
